Free Birds, founded by Ben, a surf coach, and Anne, a yoga teacher, offers vanlife, yoga, and surf experiences in Spain and Portugal. Together we shaped a friendly, authentic and down-to-earth visual identity and created an online presence that showcases their philosophy and allows for easy booking requests.

Process

The process involved several stages that were crucial in ensuring the website was created according to the client’s specifications.

  1. The first stage was the Strategy Workshop where the goals and objectives of the project were outlined. This provided a clear direction and ensured that everyone involved was on the same page.
  2. The second stage was the design phase, which began with the creation of a Moodboard. This visual representation of the overall aesthetic direction of the project allowed for the design to be on track and to meet the client’s preferences and requirements.
  3. The third stage involved the creation of Wireframes with placeholder text. This provided a skeleton framework for the website and allowed for the client to approve the layout and structure of the website.
  4. The fourth stage was the actual building of the website using the Wix platform and revisions, with up to 5 hours included in the price.

Overall, the process of creating the Freebirdtrip.com website was a collaborative effort.

Result

As a result a visually stunning and aesthetically pleasing website that effectively showcased the essence of the epic adventures on offer. The core concept for the brand, which was established during the strategy workshop, was translated into the website’s design elements, such as textures, patterns, icons, font selection, imagery, and colors.

The use of soft textures, organic patterns, and friendly icons helped to create a warm and approachable feeling for the brand. The hand-written font added a personal touch and conveyed intimacy, while the use of authentic, down-to-earth imagery reinforced the brand’s values and built a connection with the target audience.

The colour palette of earthy, muted tones contributed to the overall tone of the website and established brand recognition.
